De voorzitter van de Vrienden van het Museum kreeg de cheque overhandigd van Corrie Jansen, coördinatrice van de Nunspeetse Heideloop. De elfde Nunspeetse Heideloop, georganiseerd door de Vereniging Gemeentebelang, was weer een succesvol evenement. En traditioneel kiest Gemeentebelang een goed doel uit waar zij een gedeelte van de opbrengst aan schenken.

Het goede doel moet actief zijn in de gemeente Nunspeet en een breed maatschappelijke functie hebben. Voor de 11e editie is dus gekozen voor de Stichting Vrienden van het Noord-Veluws Museum. De vrienden van het museum zetten zich in om financiële middelen te vergaren om de collectie van het Noord-Veluws museum uit te kunnen breiden. De gift van de Nunspeetse Heideloop werd dankbaar in ontvangst genomen en zal besteed worden voor de aankoop van een bronzen beeld van kunstenaar Charles van Wijk.

Komende november viert het Noord-Veluws Museum het eerste lustrum, het museum bestaat dan vijf jaar. In deze jaren is het museum door steeds meer mensen bezocht en steeds bekender geworden. De Stichting Vrienden van het Noord-Veluws Museum vinden het vijfjarig bestaan een mooi moment om een wens van het museum te doen uitkomen, namelijk bijdragen aan de aankoop van het bronzen beeld  van de herder Willem Mouw.
